Jared Landaw is currently an Adjunct Professor at Syracuse University College of Law, where he shares his extensive knowledge and experience in corporate governance and securities law. Prior to this, Jared served as the Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Carrols Restaurant Group, Inc., overseeing the company's sustainability and ESG initiatives. He also held the position of Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at Barington Capital Group, L.P., an activist investment firm. Jared's career includes roles as Vice President of Law at International Specialty Products Inc. and as an attorney at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP. He holds a B.A. from Colgate University and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.
In his current role as an educator, Jared continues to influence the next generation of legal professionals by imparting his insights on corporate governance, diversity, and responsible investing.
