ABOUT EMMANUELLE


Emmanuelle Diehl is a senior consultant with 20 years of experience advising governments, the private sector, international organizations, and NGOs in sensitive markets and conflict-affected regions across the Middle East, Africa, Latin & Central America, and South-East Asia. She specializes in mitigating human rights and social risks, developing mitigation solutions, and ensuring compliance with international regulatory frameworks and best practices for responsible business conduct across various industries.

Emmanuelle has worked with numerous UN agencies and donors on programs addressing human rights violations, transnational organized crime, counter-terrorism policies, and security sector reform. She has also advised the Interlaken Group on land tenure rights, participated in mediation processes in Yemen and Syria, and served on the NGOs’ chapter of the Secretariat of the Voluntary Principles for Security and Human Rights in New York. Additionally, she is a board member of Win-Win Connection and Fronteras Investments, and founded two consultancies, INCAS Ltd and SELA Advisory Group.

Her interests include the role of business in peacebuilding, private military companies in conflict settings, and women’s roles in post-conflict political economies. Emmanuelle is an Adjunct Professor at Blanquerna-Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, teaching Human Rights Law, Intro to Law, Conflict Analysis, and Intro to International Relations. A dual French and American national, she is fluent in English, French, Spanish, and colloquial Egyptian Arabic, and holds multiple advanced degrees. She is currently preparing for her Ph.D. on Business and Human Rights.
